EC-5 type deoxygenation agent was developed by Huashuo Technology Co., Ltd. (formerly Hubei Provincial Chemical Research Institute) after researching the deactivation system of sulfur resistant shift catalysts. Its main feature is a high removal rate of oxygen in an atmosphere containing hydrogen sulfide. After successful application by more than 100 domestic and foreign enterprises, it passed the scientific and technological achievement appraisal organized by Hubei Province in 2011. The appraisal opinion is that it is the first of its kind in China and has reached the international advanced level. It can be used for effective removal (conversion) of oxygen and oxygen-containing compounds with multiple lone electron pairs in various sulfur-containing chemical feed gases.
