1. Purpose
The TH-2 dehydrogenation catalyst is used for the dehydrogenation of CO2feed gas in the urea production process, which can prevent the explosion hazard caused by the accumulation of hydrogen gas in the CO2feed gas.
II. Reaction Principle
2H2 + O2 = 2H2O Δ H = -483KJ/mol
2CO + O2 = 2CO2 Δ H = -566KJ/mol

V. Application Status
The TH-2 dehydrogenation catalyst has been applied to urea dehydrogenation in fertilizer plants such as Zhenhai Refinery, Shandong Dong'a, Sichuan Meifeng, and Shanghai Wujing, achieving satisfactory results. Several large and medium-sized fertilizer plants will arrange to use this catalyst in 2002.
